Credit by Exam

College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

Credit by Exam is a process by which a student who believes he or she is proficient in an academic subject may take a CLEP test to earn credit.

CLEP tests are standardized tests that cost $105, (divided into two payments - $80 payable by credit card to College Level Examination Program and $25 payable by exact cash, credit card or money order to GPC Student Accounts Office). To schedule an appointment, please call your local campus testing center.

For students outside the metro Atlanta area, please contact a testing center near you by visiting the College Board CLEP website.

Visit www.collegeboard.com/clep to view test descriptions and/or download a CLEP sampler

CLEP scores must be sent directly from the College Board. The college code for Georgia Perimeter College is 5711.

The Registrar's office keeps a list of scores needed to earn credit here at GPC

Please Note: The College Board is changing the processes involving the CLEP test; however you still must make an appointment with the test center. If you have any questions, please contact the test center you'd like to take the CLEP test at.

DANTES Subject Standardized Tests (DSST)

DSST is currently offered at our Dunwoody Campus but is currently not accepted for credit by GPC.
